WOW
That is quite odd for someone that young to be thinking about something like that. Maybe your son is going to be a future philosopher. I had no idea that someone that young could think about something that complex. I might understand if they were in high school...... but that young is just remarkable. I guess that shows that your son is definately not an average kid, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I am only 21 but I have never encountered something like that. I am also a psychology major in college and one year left til I get my bachelors degree. He is definately more advanced in his thought process than a typical kid his age. Maybe when he grows up he will be able to come up with ideas to make this world better...... like LOWER THE DAMN GAS PRICES!!!!!!!!

LMAO about the gas prices! Hopefully someone else can fix that before he can since he IS only 8! lol
But I do agree - I thought it was quite young to think about such complex ideas. I'm accustomed to his advanced thinking, typically, but this one even caught ME off guard!
Thanks for the input!

Thank you for sharing your emotions. Well, this is really a problem and I would recommend that your child contact a good specialist from https://www.businessinsider.com/gay-patient-said-betterhelp-therapist-t… and this will help a lot in his fight against depression. Thanks to this, the child learns to cope with various problems in life.

I know this is an odd place to post something like this, but this is where I am and it just happened, so here goes...
My 8 year old son was crying before bed tonight. When I asked him what was wrong, he said that he had so many questions that he didn't have answers to. I asked him what kind of questions he had. Here's where it gets strange...
He then asked, clearly upset, "Like, when does time end?"
 What?!?! He's 8!
I told him that time doesn't end - to which he replied, " I know. That's what freaks me out!"
I asked him what made him think about time ending and he said that he doesn't know; that he thinks about it every night.
I tried to keep it simple and I went into a whole - it's a good thing that time keeps going... if it didn't, Christmas would never get here, you wouldn't grow up to drive or have a girlfriend, or MOVE OUT OF MY HOUSE! LOL I made him laugh, and that's all I could think to do!
Has anyone else dealt with this?
I told him to keep making straight A's in school, go to a good college, study quantum physics and such and figure it out. Then he can tell me and we'll both know!
Like I said... I know it's a strange place to put this, but I enjoy getting others' opinions!
