11-11-06 --This photo was taken as the truck was being rolled back over-- My second chance brings me back to 11-11-06. I went out of state to go to a few clubs with a friend and two of her friends from work which I didnt know. My friends friend was driving and we were all listening to music having a good time. Unfortunately it was raining pretty bad that night. As we were getting off the off ramp from the highway the explorer did a few fishtails into oncoming traffic and we did a nice 360 back into the proper lane. Luckily we did not hit anyone and we were all thanking god that we were okay. As if THAT wasn't scarry enough. On the way home from the club that night I had asked the driver if he was okay to drive, because I was sober. He said he was fine. Well apparently not because ten minutes later as we were on the highway a large bridge was coming up. The driver started to speed up to 100mph and was not staying in the lines. I asked him to slow down and just after I finised my sentence the SUV spun around facing the traffic that was behind us.. smashed into the cement wall then rolled over several times and almost rolled over the median. I remember seeing this all happen in slow motion. The whole time all I heard was silence and the motion of the car flipping around made me feel as if we had fallen off the bridge. I was waiting to just feel a crash and then NOTHING. I was waiting to die. When I came to.. I was upside down watching everyone else climb out of the SUV and I was trying to compute what had just happen. As I crawled out, I immediately felt pain all over my body and I was pretty sure by the size of the goose egg, on my head, that I had a concusion. The police and firefighters arrived shortly after and were in awe at the fact that were alive and we were even able to walk out of the accident with just cuts and brusies. They urged us all to go to the hospital but none of us had insurance. My friend had glass in her feet, I swallowed some, and another person ended up 08/27/2008 Submitted by Nicole
