Our Second Chance My girlfriend and I started dating on her birthday, september 24 of 2006 at a Staind concert. It was amazing, unlike most of my friends i had never had a serious relationship before and i figured that when it happened it would be great. I was right, the 5 weeks after that were the best of my life. Then on October 30 her mother was killed tragically on a monday morning at 7 oclock by a drunk driver. Thinks got very complicated very quickly. The relationship lost the new relationship feeling very quickly. But kim and i were in love and we worked through it. However after a year and a half kim's emotional hardships took their toll on me. Things were no long how they used to be and we broke up. After 3 months we began working towards being back together. Now it is nearly september and we are coming up on the 2 year marker and though things are still hard someitmes, we both know that we are the ones for each other, sometimes it just requires a little more work that most couples.
