I was introduced to rock and roll by my parents at a very young age. I knew the words to Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer" at 3 years old. I have kept the family tradition alive. One thing I strongly believe in is sharing great music with others. Coincidentally, your last 3 albums were released while I was pregnant with my 3 children; Rory was born 2 months after the release of "Us and Them". I was 4 months along with Victoria when I heard "Sound of Madness" for the first time, and my second daughter, Adrina, will be here at the end of July. It has been said that babies can hear as early as 16 weeks in utero. I think exposing my first 2 children to music so early is why I often hear them singing along in the backseat of the car to "Second Chance" and "Save Me." Obviously, "Amaryllis" is keeping the Shinedown tradition alive!
Shinedown has fueled my life for nearly a decade now. I saw you open for 3 Doors Down in September of 2003 and was blown away by the power of the band live. Your songs have given me comfort and strength through my role as a mother and military spouse. I will continue to share my Shinedown experience with young and old!
