Shinedown fans, how are you all doing? We just got a box full of cool stuff from the band and want to give it to you. Were going to start going through all the comments on the site over the next few weeks and randomly picking out people to send this stuff too. Weve got guitar picks from Zach, drum heads from Barry signed by the entire band and more so get commenting people!

I was creating a library of tunes for my husbands iPod as a X-mas gift. 2008 was hell on earth for my husband and I due to poor decisions our kids made throughout the year. Your music spoke to both of us and has provided such inspiration! I have told so many of my friends about you and just last week purchased two of The Sound of Madness CD's to give to friends for X-mas. One of our son's has Aspbergers and we are currently trying to get him to listen to your CD's in hopes that it will provide inspiration to him. If You Only Knew has been my husband's and my "love song" for the past year. I'm anxiously awaiting your return to the Grand Rapids MI area to see you again!

Submitted By: Denise My taste in music is very diverse, my two absolute favorite bands being WAR and Queensryche. So it takes a VERY special band for me to even take the time to write to them and learn about them. Your songs are great and your sound is awesome! Fell in love with Burning Bright first and yet I still find myself falling for pretty much your whole collection of songs. Hope to see you guys in concert sometime in the near future.

When Brent Spoke before the songs i was hanging on every word and felt as if everything was directed to me. My grandmothers passed away but you guys gave me the hope before burning bright that there's still a chance shes keeping an eye on me, matter of fact, now i know it! when i Started listening about 2 years ago i was in a hole and you guys single handedly saved me, thank you... best of luck

Submitted By: June lol.. pretty sure all that stuff is gone. I am a late bloomer, as far as Shinedown goes but at least I am, all thanks to my hip son-in-law. He has listened to my music tastes over the years, and 1st band suggestion out of the gate and he NAILED it...I have set land speed records wearing out the CD's to get caught up. I've already posted somewhere on this site about my concert experience at The Filmore in Denver, CO. I had to learn their music library backwards, and already I feel differently about how I felt about some of the songs I posted about on that post. I finally uploaded the 3 to my computer, put them on shuffle, got them all mixed up, and then put them back on CD, so that I would not be hung up on the library "order". NOW i "hear" the music more. I have taken the time to read and watch most things that are available here, and now instead of the music being one dimensional only heard from the "surface", I hear so many other things in the music now. There is color, there is more emotion than I originally picked up.... Yep...at 45...i have become an addict....a Shinedown addict...who KNEW I would listen to this music everyday, going and coming from work. At such and "old" age (yes my 22 year old daughter calls me "old" with a wicked smile)we have reach the age that we have the perpetual need to know that SOMEONE out there understands this thing we are living called life...and then can articulate it, and THEN put it to music that can be listened to...at any age Yep... Shinedown has done it...the kids laugh at me, and roll their eyes....but I unashamadly admit...i need another fix. I really want to know..... are you going to come back and continue your tour in the states after the jaunt overseas? Are you taking a break and then gettin' back to it? And most importantly are you coming back to Denver? (Can we get you in a bigger arena with a little more stage time??) Ok... I need to

I went to a Shinedown concert this summer (yes, there were other bands, but as far I am concerned it was only Shinedown!) I didn't see those shirts until we were leaving and wanted one SO bad and they had packed up the merchandise! I did get to go to the meet and greet though, so I guess I can't complain! You guys ROCKED! That will forever be one of the best nights of my LIFE! Love you guys!

Submitted By: Mary OMG, I can’t stop listening to your CD. I drove north (a 3 hr trip) and listened nonstop. Every song is GREAT! First I listened to every lyric sung and could only think about how sexy Brent sounds, the part on Sound of Madness where he’s just singing is so climatic it’s hard to focus, my mind goes to another place. Then there’s What a Shame, how you reach the high parts of the song and harmonize with Eric. You guys can bring a girl to her knees. I later focused on the bass, drums and guitar of every song and got so lost in every note being played I damn near crashed my car. My visualization of you guys playing so hard, so fast make me… well I’ll leave that up to your imagination… I love the CD, I can’t decide which ringtone to get, every song has such depth.

So i would be forever appreciative to win the drum heads signed by the band!!! Also, you guys were amazing at the 2009 Kentucky State Fair!!! i just wanna say great job ft that. That was my very first concert, and you all are my favorite band!!!! you are great at what you do,so never stop that,and keep on performing your fantastic music. and btw, i love the new "If you Only Knew" music video,its awesome!!!!

Submitted By: Todd please tell me where i can about the correlation between the sound of madness song and video. it appears to be about someone trying to redeem himself by finding runaways from posters, hiring his friend to kill the kidnappers and then returning the children to their loved ones, am I close on that assumption? how does it correlate with the song.. yes I am a dumb ass... best song on earth right now to me though.

Submitted By: Tom simply put I love rock 'n' roll but all I new was classic stuff which I still love, I get a random cd from a friend called leave a whisper and I listen to it on a cd player (yeah i know, back when ipods were getting big, i rocked the cd player still) but wow i listened to it every night, but i didnt get sick of it us and them rocked as well and i called them my fave band ever, to have such a special vocalist in brent with such a r-----a-----n-----g-----e he amazes me as do all of shinedown members past and present, still in our hopes and prayers jason sound of madness was a new standard, the only cd i can listen to cover to cover and i love every song, most good cds have like 7 or 8 good songs and 3 or 4 great ones, with a few garbagey tracks, s.o.m has no song i dont love, it works so well, even when the band tries something new with call me, i have to admit it is a personal fave because of the message and i guess thats why i think you guys are my fave band ever, your messages in the music 'if you only knew' 'some day' 'better version' are just inspirational and real, fan forever, keep rockin guys

Submitted By: Shannon Taylor Hey, Guys..Whats up? I love your music. I am on your Street Team. I passed out a ton of those lanyards on the Stimulate This! tour in Evansville, In on July 24th. It was an Amazing show. I was lucky enough to get to talk to Brent and Zack for a minute, before security ran us off. You guys were Amazing and kept apologizing to us for not having more time. It may have only been a few minutes, but it made my day. Thanks! My daughters love your music, too. My 6 yr. old knows every word to Burning Bright and she requests it daily. One time she asked me..Mommy, Is goodbye really a second chance..I just said..Sometime. It was so sweet. Anyways, Thanks for taking the time to talk to me for a few minutes. It was Awesome.
