One of my favorite songs. My son (age 12) is so moved by this song he wrote an essay on what the song means to him for school. That is when you know these are great songs. They touch everyone. Love you Shinedown!!!!

I wish I could have said this to my Dad when I told him I was getting married. He says Damn fool. Got married headed to Vietnam. She was there when I returned for my second chance. Been married now for 42 years and I found Shinedown. Life is truely amazing..

Two weeks after my Mothers death I found myself on the grassy lawn of Merriweather Post pavilion transcended by the live music and a single song. Second Chance was a pentacle moment in my healing and echoes to my core each time I hear it.
A second chance is not by chance, you have to open your heart, mind and ears to find your way-music is everywhere-turn it up!!
