Thank-you Beth, The hearing went well, the lawyer seems certain my husband won! but 1 to 2 months till we receive confirmation and another 1 to 2 months until any $$ (assuming we won) hubby is very happy and I am too but I will celebrate only when letter saying we won arrives! I was kind of hoping something might happen by X-mas time but it's o.k. Hope things are better or at least getting better for you and I want to thank you for your prayers and well wishes, I feel certain they helped! Grandson due this Friday so I may be at hospital for a few day's but I will write to you as soon as he gets here and I have an opportunity. Next time we speak you may be calling me granny but I will on be one kick-ass Rockin & Rollin granny!! Rock-on girlfriend and take care.. *Robin*

Hey Robin! Just want you and your family to know my thoughts and prayers are with you today. God Bless and if you feel like writing about the outcome i'm here. Peace, Beth

Hey Robin! Was so good to hear from ya! You've been in my thoughts too. Just not too much to HONK about going on with me. Still in limbo about moving....or staying. Problems worse with the kid! I've been watching the Conrad Murray (Michael Jackson) trial on TV. You know we grew up with this genius kid that was obviously killed by neglect and wrongdoing. I feel at this point the Dr. is guilty. So i hope life is treating you, hubby, and your kids fairly well. I've still got Oct. 18th (?) remembered and will be pulling for ya'll. Thanks for dropping me a few lines, and i hope we'll continue our web friendship! Beth

Don't worry about writing back,I understand you have a lot going on and will write back when the time is right. Take care Girl, you remain in my thoughts! *Robin*

Hi Beth,Thank's for well wishes, today started out pretty good for Hubby but pretty quickly that has changed by this afternoon(I told him he was over doing it!) but it is so hard for him to just be still. Yes we do have a lawyer,I just hope he earns his fee and makes the difference in us winning, this State is just flat out broke so all cases are extremly difficult to win! Lucky girl, going to see the Foo Fighters,I hope you have a blast and I hope you end up moving to exactly where you want to be.Does your son live in Cali also? Well I am going to make the old man some lunch and hope it helps him feel better,I will tell him that you sent him best wishes. Keep on Rockin girl cause as we both know Music is the best medicine!!! Take care Shinedownlover, *Robin*

Hey Beth,Take it by force! I like that,I'm assuming comment below is to me considering the content, sorry you wrote out a whole note and then it was erased-that sucks! Cool that you found the info you were looking for concerning Sedona but not cool to hear your life is a drag right now,I feel you on that one and also hope everything becomes better and more positive for you.Thank's for best wishes for the hubby,we have our fingers crossed!! There is a lot riding on it,this is where having grown kid's comes in handy, they help us out a lot,my 26 yr.old still lives at home and is a big help! awesome that your parents were married 60 yr's and yeah it's nice but not always, there are lot's of ups &downs, sometimes I wish I didn't have anybody to worry about! Enjoy your freedom, other than your son of course! Only think about the positive things as much as possible!! As for what we do here for fun hmmm..The summer here is so freaking hot we try to do things indoors whenever possible.I have a lot of family here so every weekend it seems like there is some damn thing going on,we like to go to movies(cause it's indoors) when we can afford(not much lately)it,visit our other 2 kid's,our 28yr.old & his girlfriend are expecting our first Grandson in a few weeks! My daughter had a baby boy almost 3 yr's ago but he only survived for 3 hours so actually this will be our 2nd.Yes we have been to a lot of concerts here(more so in winter time)unless you want to roast your brains out,but not lately, the last one(my daughter bought my ticket & went with me)was 3 doors down,we used to go much more when the kid's were little and we had some $$! I went to a few when I lived in Cali,I was young and on my own, that's where I saw Queen(L.A.Forum).Hubby & son's are in to paintball but sadly no more for the old man! My daughters(I should just say Jen,it's a lot shorter) boyfriend play's in a band of his own,Rock and comical Rock & fills in with a country band sometimes(yuck!)Later Girl, Robin(nospace)

Hey, whats up? Glad to hear from you, thanks for your email. I just typed up a long one back at ya, and had forgot to sign in, so it got erased!!!! I won't go thru the whole chat again, but say yeah, Sedona looks expensive. And was a bit scary when it hit me that is where the "Sweat Box" deaths occurred!! But Section 8 is Section 8, whether, NY, LA, Phoenix, of Sedona. And i called and found there is section 8 accepted in Sedona. I haven't decided what to do yet cause my life is full of chaos right now. I so feel for your husband, and will be saying a prayer and hoping the best for him at his hearing next month. It is really difficult to be disabled at our young ages for sure, and to not be able to have the money to live comfortably is as bad. I am envious of you though because you have each other, and your children, and for 29 years! That is remarkable. My parents were married over 60 years! There is nothing more important than to have good close, loving relationships. Unfortunately, my life so lacks in that area. I'm gonna start back in therapy next month to hope help me deal with what life is dishing me right now! So what do you guys do in Phoenix for enjoyment? Is that where you've seen most of your concerts? Well, i'm off to another site for now. Take it easy, and if you can't take it easy, take it by force!
KUDOS, Beth

Hey Girl, Of course you don't sound strange,in fact I am a tad bit strange myself!! I'm not sure either how the E-mail situation on this site works myself, sometimes when I receive a comment my inbox tells me I have a comment and I have to click on blue link below which brings me to my profile page on this site but my E-mail is robinrory@gmail.com,send one anytime! Super cool that you looked up Sedona but one thing I do know is that it is VERY expensive to live there, not sure about what kind of Gov housing they may have,I've only been a couple times and the homes and area are beautiful, you sure as hell would not want something like that down here in Phoenix.I've had one comment back from a really cool lady who lives in Sedona, her site name is"Kaf"and I told her how jealous I was that she lived there and if you go back a page or two you can read what she wrote about Sedona in fact she may know more than I about the situation up there.Sorry to hear your on disability and were in those car wrecks, your theme songs are perfect for your situation and mine in actuality,my husband is in a fight for disability right now himself with his hearing coming up finally on Oct.18th.He has been a very hard worker all his life but around a year and a half ago he became very ill with positional vertigo and labrinthytis(permanent damage to right inner ear) he is dizzy, sick to his tummy and unable to balance, his brain can no longer unscramble signals his eyes are seeing! 24-7 it never goes away and his skills are laying tile, marble and natural stone in other words being on knees and bending over all day!He misses doing this work and his friends very badly not to mention financial strain on us!! He did make a pretty decent living, this has been the hardest for him but he appreciated your shout out to him! We now spend all day together,it's like early retirment and I'm not used to it, were old but not THAT old yet,and yeah, music is my escape but then it always has been! Rock on Beth, Robin

O-KAY,So I pulled up Chickenfoot and really liked what I was hearing and then i'm like Hey...that looks like Sammy Hagar and Hey...that really sounds like Sammy! Holy Crap it is Sammy, with some more old school Rocker's! Chad ,Joe,and mike.I am digging their sound! My also broke ass is gonna get their C.D.when I can! Thank's Girl for the heads up.*Robin*

Yeah! I need to marry a Rock star too! In fact I have a few in mind:) but then I would have to let go of the one I've got and he is pretty nice to have around, married 29 yr's,this past Sep 3rd.He still tells me every damn day how much he love's me(true)and how beautiful I am(not true!!!) Guess I'll keep him around if he keeps that up.I feel you on managing on computer,I am teaching myself as I go,with some help from my kid's who are comp geniuses! We didn't have comp's in school in our day.I love Palladia channel too but my 28 yr.old son moved in with his girlfriend(they are expecting my first grandson oct.21st.)and took his Hi-def with him !Damn I miss it! Can't believe the words grandson just came out of my mouth!! Don't know Chickenfoot but I will look them up today.Next time you are passing thru AZ or looking for a place for peace check out Sedona, about 2 hours north of Phoenix, beautiful red rock, peaceful, spiritual place, known for Native American culture and energy! Thank's for your message girlfriend and take care,Peace, Robin

Hey Girl, How are thing's in Cali? I used to be a Cali girl,Westminster,Huntington Beach,Long Beach,Lakewood,my daughter was born in Fountain Hill's,pretty much all around Orange County.Where is Cathedral City?Don't recognize that city,I miss it sometime's,especially when it's summer here in Phoenix! Just Rockin out to Shinedown right now, going to that happy place! Hope you are too!! Peace,Robin

Laughing out loud? Hell! I am crying out loud! You got to be at Song remains the same concert, Led Zep, my all time favorite, soundtrack to my youth, heart of my hearts, stairway to heaven Band?? I am truly jealous and yet I bow to you, I was not so lucky when the opportunity came my way, little did I know that the chance for these types of concerts was slipping away! Oh man, were concerts and the people at them ever different in those days!! I can't believe I just typed in the words"in those days" WOW ! We really are classic Rockers and I am absolutely proud to say it, the"youth" today can not imagine or have a clue what they missed!! Not their fault of course, but I absolutely raised my three with an appreciation for"real"Rock and how to "behave" at a concert, I have heard "there she goes again" more than once! I think we should make T-shirts saying"Classic Rocks" !! Loved your response Girl! Zepplin Rules! *Robin*

honeybear's picture

Hey Beth, I was adding my thoughts to Blake's discussion topic and reading other fans thoughts and I really enjoyed what you had to say about classic Rock, the amazing tunes from the 60's,70's and such, only those were my times, wish I could say I was turned on to it by older siblings cause that would of course allow me to say I am much younger than I really am, on the other hand I got to experience the Rock of the ages! I find a lot of these same feelings in Shinedown, which is why I love them so much, they have so many style's from mellow to hard Rock and yet they are magic all their own! I have to listen every day, along with the classics sprinkled in or I just don't feel right, and I agree, a little weed always goes well whether it's Shinedown or some of the awesome classics!! Oh, and I was born in 1962, you do the math, too much of a downer for me! But hey we have the new album to look forward to!!! Can't wait! You keep Rockin girl & pop over to my profile sometime and say hey. Robin Lena (Honeybear)
