I am married 12 years this July to Chris, who discovered Shinedown a little before Sound of Madness and immediately became a fan. We purchased their previous albums and Shinedown took over our playlist! I enjoyed the music but wasn't hooked until we saw them live at The Lake County Fair in Illinois. From that day on, we've been hooked! We ate rockers at heart and found current music dissapointing. Shinedown has been my favorite band, along with my favorite therapy. Brent's personal lyrics mean so much to me as it has helped me through some difficult times. Chris and I have three children, 2 boys ages 5 and 8 and one girl age 4. I stayed home with my children 7 years until I decided to return to the classroom by substituting part time until I am ready to fully return as a Social Studies high school teacher. My husband has been a science teacher at his home school for 13 years. His students love him and every student who knows Mr.gales or had heard of Mr Gales is familiar with Shinedown. On a cute note, my children, especially my younger two know most of the lyrics of many songs. My daughter is in love with the song Unity right now, especially the video. Lastly, I am that mom who frequently shows up on the school playground wearing my favorite Shinedown tshirts and hoodies! I have always been my own unique self and Shinedown helped me remain exactly who I am. They inspire me. I was able to meet them at a Meet and Greet a few years back and they were the most genuine, amazing group of guys. Luv them:)
