About Me

First the earth cooled, then the dinosaurs came........ then I hit my first drum. It has been a love affair ever since. I started at the ripe old age of 7 with a CB700 snare drum and a pair of sticks. It was a deal with my parents that I had to learn and perfect my rudiments before I could move on to the monster rock kit. 2 years and many lessons later a great thing happened on August 7th my birthday. I received my first drumkit. Immediately I set it up and began trying to wail along with Iron Maiden's Number of the Beast. From there I haven't looked back. I took tons of lessons and really learned to respect all styles of music and tried to apply them to my playing. I was a marching geek through elementary, middle, high school, and college at UCF. I am one hell of a lucky musician and have played in many bands until eventually landing the Shinedown gig in 2000-01. I learn something everyday and drumming is my passion. BK

Hey Barry! This is Brooke and I'm a big fan of Shinedown, but that isn't why i'm commenting. I just want to tell all of you guys of the band, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Your newest song 'Bully' is what I've been looking for.
My cousin, Montana Lance, committed suicide at school almost two years ago, at the age of nine. I am a victim of bullying also and this song made me cry in a wonderful way. I am just so thankful that you guys made this song because I feel like every time someone hears this that maybe it could keep just a single person from dying like my cousin did. Montana's anniversary is on the 21st of this month and I have been struck with a way to get the word out, but when I heard this song I realized one of my favorite bands had done just that.
Thank you, once again and I wish the best for Shinedown!
    Sincerely,
    Your fan
