I always enjoy your replies. Thanks. Let's see, no new tsunamis out here in California. They did have a bunch of sardines die in the marina, like THOUSANDS of them. Actually it looked quite disgusting on the news. That was about 45 minutes away from me. No problem with you not listening to the songs, I know you're busy :) I came across the new song I mentioned below on Pandora Internet Radio on my phone. It was a random song on my "Shinedown" channel. It's pretty cool. Has a bit of a Nickelback sound (which I like). Weather has been nice here, except we will be getting some rain here this weekend. It is in the 70's now and will be in the low to mid 60's this weekend. Hey, what will the weather be like in Chicago the during the end of May? I am going there for four days. It will probably be really nice since it is the end of Spring, but not quite summer right? I love Chicago, it's one of my favorite cities!! I bet you have been there a lot since it's a sister state to you. What would be cool is if SD or Zach did a little show out there while I was there, then it would be another awesome coincidence for me (first one being that I met them). I like how their songs build up. Chris Cornell is from the band Soundgarden (same type of sound as Audioslave). Unfortunately, I have not been to a SD concert but will when they come to So. Cal. I have been to several other rock concerts in the past (Black Sabbath, RUSH, Iron Maiden, KISS, YES, Lynyrd Skynyrd - just to name a few). I have never really been up front though. You were lucky. And i agree that it would be awesome to see Brent play guitar during a concert! He actually is pretty good even though he says he doesn't play! Omg the guys are hilarious! Okay novels it is, Ms. Rocker Veterinarian!! Whats the name of the radio station you listen to? Maybe they also transmit on the internet. Did you know Van Halen is back in the studio working on a new album with Eddies son Wolfie on bass? Bummer on the billboard, guess youll have to try and take another one. I cant wait to see it. When I talked to Eric and Zach I told them the songs I liked, specifically Diamond Eyes Boom Lay, Boom Lay Boom, and Zach was like cool. I wish I could have chatted with them longer, but I was a bit nervous and didnt want to take up too much of their time. Second Chance was the first song I heard from them as well. I was in Dallas at the time and when I heard it on the radio I wrote the name down so when I got home I could find them on iTunes (I may have told you this story before). Eric definitely has quite an eclectic wardrobe, very cool. I really dig his bass playing. I didnt realize he also produces some of the songs. My Sunday ends in 6 hours ha ha. Hope you are having a great day (well evening for you now). Dani (SDSHG) and I have been talking about yours and my classic rock chats!! I told her you are a very smart and talented girl who has a great appreciation for classic rock... bottom line. She's been checking out the links I have sent you. Awesome!! I sent Dani a few songs I recorded with a friend of mine (I played bass and drums on both songs). We used a mixer so it sounds like a full band. I miss playing :(

Good morning Lissa!! I was going to be the first to wish you a Happy Friday at 12 AM your time, but its already 1 AM your time. Oh well, I will still say it, HAPPY FRIDAY BRING ON THE WEEKEND!! Regarding the music school, never say never!! If you want to get into Juliard you can. Being an athlete, you know that youre only limited by how hard you try. So, practice that guitar!! Lets see, medical and horses; hmmmmm sounds like we have another upcoming veterinarian!!! And a Vet who likes to play guitar (like my dentist he plays the guitar). Yes, you have lots of time to make those career decisions. And remember, once a musician, always a musician I always say. That will be with you the rest of your life. A great art to carry with you. And now regarding the songs I sent you, of course I expect a full report ASAP (kidding) . . . LOL. That is so cool you got the SD litho!! Another item to photograph and add to your SD wall! Are you going to just frame it, or have a border (say black) around it and a larger frame? You know what people were doing at the NAMM show? They would bring in their removable front guitar covers which goes around the pickups or drum heads, and then have their favorite bands sign them. The guitar/drums then looks custom. Ill wait until you tell me about the songs I sent you before I send you some new ones. I get a kick out of your feedback, and I am enjoying your recommendations too! Hey Lissa! I saw you on the chat the other night too! Well i didnt get a shoutout but i did get a few questions answered! I was so happy! I first asked Brent do you really play guitar? and he's like "Oh no i don't i just like to stand with it and look cool!" haha it was funny! then i said "I'm taller than you Zach!" and he said "Wow thats great doesnt take alot to be taller than me!" he was being a smart ass! then i said "you guys need to stop talking about balls my dad is like WTF?!" And Zach read it and they all laughed! So it was pretty awesome that they noticed my questions and random statements! And that is true what you said we will hopefully win another contest! I didn't really care for the DVD title i mean, it's good but not very original! there were alot of better ones i thought. But if the boys liked it thats all that mattered! Hi Lissa!! 6,000,000 hits on that YouTube site; I can see why! I've always liked Steve Vai. You know he was in Whitesnake for awhile and the David Lee Roth band as well after DLR left Van Halen? He is an incredible guitarist. Never mind learning the Sixx A.M. guitar solo, LEARN THE STEVE VAI ONE!! Yes, you need to post that Second Chance sign, it is classic. Oh and who knows, maybe you will major in music and go to a music school for the arts like the Juliard School for the Arts. What do you want to major in? The entire School of Rock movie was a crackup. Jack Black is hilarious. Oh, and regarding forgetting bands and titles of songs, I can totally relate. I am pretty bad with the names of songs, but I can usually guess the band (if it is one I know). That's very cool that you ordered the signed litho, I bet your room will be awesome with a SD theme. Lissa, Glad you liked Push, I love that song. I wasn t sure if you are a Dio/Black Sabbath fan. Some people get offended by those bands (devil music they say). Dio was great in Sabbath, Rainbow and solo. He was originally a bass player in a band called Elf. Another great song is by Deep Purple called Burn. Oh man, some incredible drumming, and a very fast paced song. Another fave of mine. Yes, I know School of Rock. I love that movie, Jack Black is awesome.Did you know those kids in the band were attending a real music school when they were tagged to be in the movie? They are actually very good musicians. Google that. I may now have to watch that movie again. I love the scene when Jack Black (or Mr. Schneeblee) is teaching the history of music and the chalkboard is covered with several band names and lines drawn from one band to another. What a riot!! Love the Second Chance billboard. You should take a photo of it and put it on your SD profile as one of your photos (I would). Maybe that s a sign that you will get a second chance to name the next CD/ DVD . . . I hope you do! Am I completely off base to think that Sixx A.M. is slightly similar to Iron Maiden??? You can see tons of stars, planets, etc. I have a pretty nice telescope and enjoy gazing at the heavens while some kind of music is playing on my iPod. Hi Lissa, don't get me wrong, classical is not my first choice, rock is my first choice! I just like different genres. The snow is melting? Hooray! Spring is on its way...I hope. All classical music over 6 yrs (3 yrs on each instrument). Do you like classical music? As a musician it's kind of like the roots of music. As you probably know, classical music can be very difficult. But it's fun. Also, remember my mood dictates my music selection. I think you said the same for you.
