The concert in Lincoln, NE
The concert in Lincoln, NE was my first time seeing SHINEDOWN and it was by far the best live show experience I have ever had! In all my years I have seen many concerts, some good, and some bad. But this one will be playing in my mind and soul for a very long time.
It was also a pleasure to meet the band during the meet and greet prior to the show. I hope Eric’s ankle is healing up for him; it most definitely had no effect on his playing, as he sounded awesome! You meet so many I doubt you would remember us. Older guy with my lovely lady and daughter who was going to her first concert…she loved it! She wanted to say thank you to Barry for the drumstick! (Hint – the almost worn out white “Put your hands in the air” T-shirt? Brent noticed it)
It is a real pleasure to see and hear a band who does understand the difference between rock music being treated as a “genre” and to really live thru the sound, lyrics, and the story. Rock music is forged by places, times, and sounds of our lives. To those who don’t understand it you will usually get the response of “It’s too loud” or “I can’t understand the words” we’ll all you have to do is let your heart and mind open up to listen.
Brent, Barry, Eric, and Zach you guys rock! You have combined many facets of rock music to provide a strong driving sound and energy level to your fans while staying down to earth and sincere about common people’s life struggles. Well Done! The four of you make up the four cornerstones of the band called SHINEDOWN. Where each of you bring an individual and unique skill set that when combined…JUST FUCKING ROCKS!
Well in closing I just wanted to thank you for a wonderful concert and to let you know that even a fifty year old can still have a kick ass time in the front row, against the rail, front of the Pit! Looking forward to your next performance, rock on and good fortune to you all!

Made the show in Wichita with my two sons. One plays bass and has CP which makes him hurt when he plays in his orch. at school. Seeing you play on helped him know the music is what matters. My other son plays piano and guitar and was impressed with the show must go on attitude as well. Great job and great show. Come back to Wichita.

It's a gas knowing that a member of one of my favorite bands has the same birthday as me. Of course,it's a different year, but the same date.
Im posting in regards to my girlfriend, a HUGE Shinedown fan whos brother was tragically murdered a few weeks back. She has been devastated since the event and the first bit of any life I've seen in her is that she won tickets for tonights private acoustic set in Scottsdale, with some help from above I believe. I was wondering if there was ANY way possible to maybe get a dedication tonight to her and her brother as I believe this would help her. I dont know if this is possible but her name is Nikki and her brothers name is Chip. His favorite song was If You Only Knew. This would mean EVERYTHING to her and she means EVERYTHING to me.
Hey Eric, I can't wait to see you guys when you get to OKC at the Diamond Ballroom. My son, Sean, loves playing the bass, too! Hey you ought to check out his band, ATRUS. They are an up and coming band out of the OKC area. Love ya, Julie
Can you guys come perform at Rocklahoma. Last year over 100,000 people attended. This could be a dying mans last request, I'm shipping out to Afghanistan the monday after Rocklahoma.
Eric, I want to thank you and the band for visiting the Cleveland Clinic when you where here in town. You and I talked work, cycling, and you doing a triathalon. I remember that day as being very special. I just really wanted you to know that it was very nice of you to take the time to do things like visiting a Cancer Center.
In Camden the other night you were great, really enjoyed listnin to you and the rest of the group. Thanks for a great performance and i so hope i can see you all perform again soon.
Hey Eric, just wondering whether or not you are going to be releasing a white and black signature bass anytime soon.
Great meeting you at the NAMM show...thanks for being so humble and inspiring! The Hubby and I will be heading to the Detroit GIG to see you guys live...Enjoy Europe!
hey eric i used the crow and the butterfly to make a slideshow of the crow and the butterfly can i show it to you and you tell me what you think ? ill get you the link when i can the reason i used it is because it always made me think of him he diede early last year tell me what you think pls thanks it would mean alot
Hey Eric! This is Brooke and I'm a big fan of Shinedown, but that isn't why i'm commenting. I just want to tell all of you guys of the band, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Your newest song 'Bully' is what I've been looking for.
My cousin, Montana Lance, committed suicide at school almost two years ago, at the age of nine. I am a victim of bullying also and this song made me cry in a wonderful way. I am just so thankful that you guys made this song because I feel like every time someone hears this that maybe it could keep just a single person from dying like my cousin did. Montana's anniversary is on the 21st of this month and I have been struck with a way to get the word out, but when I heard this song I realized one of my favorite bands had done just that.
Thank you, once again and I wish the best for Shinedown!
Sincerely,
Your fan

Eric, your about me profile would be super cool with a tiny bit more basic info! I totally get that you are a private type of guy, can't even say I blame you with a trillion fans out there, but you are such an interesting dude and I don't mean in any weird way, I've been so very happily married with 3 amazing kids all in their 20's for 29 years this sep 3rd! Do you and your wife have any rug rats yet? Oh yeah and my husbands b-day is also october 23rd,pretty cool huh? You can check out pic of us at profile Honeybear but I suppose you don't have time for silly things like that. PEACE-OUT and SHINEDOWN FOREVER!!! Robin

Hey Eric I came to your concert with shinedown November 23,2010
I know I could never prove to be Shinedown's #1 fan. A dear friend pointed out that I had all three albums on my Zune but had not listened to them that much. As a mother of 2 boys I stay very busy. Music is my medication and since I have listened to Sound of Madness, it truely is the ONLY cd in my car right now. My oldest has added it to his Zune and my 6 year old has me repeat "Devour" all the time.
I admire the hard work you guys seem to put into your families and your band and your music. I can NOT wait until the next album comes out and you all are on tour again. I missed the last tour but I'm already putting the word out that I WILL be at a concert of Shinedown's. Best wishes to everyone involved in the making of the music and we can't wait!!
And THANKS so much for adding me on fb and for your rt when you can. Means alot!
My daughter turns 13 tomorrow. She wants a "Shinedown cake!" Which I am trying to figure out how to make. For Halloween she was Brent but Eric she totally loves you! I wish you could wish her a happy b-day. Hopefully, she will meet you someday.

I want to say hello from North Carolina, hoping to see you guys at the Carnival of Madness tour this year...I also want to mention that we need to see more photos of you on here... love you guys and hope you are enjoying your time at home with family and friends....shout out!!
Brent, Barry, Zach, and Eric
I just got your cd/dvd "Somewhere In The Stratosphere" in the mail of your shows in Washington and KC and I went and saw you guys in concert for your acoustic show in Kansas City and it was the most amazing experience I have ever had. I have all your cds and dvds you guys truly are the best band in the world. One thing that really kind of made me mad and pisses me off was that some people got into the show early and got to meet you guys and get autographs I am an avid collector of band memorabilia and it made me really mad when I had to shell out $400.00 for tickets (I know that is not your fault) because your show sold out so fast, and others got a meet and greet with you and I did not. I was wondering if I could get a signed picture or poster of you guys to add to my collection. Thank you very much for reading this it really means a lot to me Love you guys keep up the good work and c u on the road again real soon I hope.

*****I am writing this because of my sons great friend is in really bad shape, in bad need of a double lung transplant. His name is Bo Ivey, he is 20 years of age and yet to live his life to the fullest. Bo is a huge fan of the band. I do not know if the band does any tribute bands, but I was wanting to ask if there is a way possible when your in atlanta, ga again if you would be willing to perform to help raise money for his transplant. If you are not permitted could you please send him a autograph poster of the band to help keep his spirits up through his struggle. If you can help in anyway contact through my profile here. Thank you so much for putting a smile on his face each time he hears your music.
