I will be at the Biloxi show (me and my 15yr old son)! This will be his first Shinedown show, actually his first concert ever! I am hoping to meet the band and get his ticket signed.
My 4yr old daughter loves Sound of Madness, she crosses her arms and gets a great groove going with her body and head! Very cute!
My 6 yr old daughter loves Crow and Butterfly - she actually knows all the words to the song.
My baby's have been raised to know, love and appreciate good music. No Disney songs for us!! I can't tolerate that shit for more than a minute.
We will be driving down from Chicago to Biloxi this Sunday. Rocking the entire way to Shinedown; LAW, U&T and SOM!! Sometimes it actually sucks when the ride is over I get so into the music and the scenery.

My Art...
Thats TRUE dedication when u mark your body for a group. I have the lyrics to Burning Bright tattooed on my arm and plan on getting my whole back done in the next 3 months with a "Save Me" or "In Memory" theme. There aren't words to express how much their music has helped me find myself and get through hard times. Its just great to finally meet other people who understand......

Music is a pathway to help you the hardest times sometimes the lyrics reach into your heart and give you the strength to make tough decisions or sometimes the strenth to even get through a tough day when you're at your wit's end. Without music from bands such as Shinedown i wouldn't be who i am today i would've never had the courage to be myself to be able to move on and acheive everything that i have. I still remember when i got Leave a Whisper and the effect it had on me i still to this day can't pick a favorite on that album since every one has a different meaning and has helped me through. music is the air i breathe and the blood of my life

I'm glad that such a good band can touch so many.
Talent is a gift and the Guys sure give back from what I hear.
(They helped me through a real tough 7 years after losing my older brother and many friends on 9/11)

I thought about getting their sigs tatted on my boobs but Barry won't sign my boobs...lol OK I was joking about that first part but not the second...Barry told me he could never do that on me cause it would just seem wrong to him...lol I love that man. But I actually would love to get a Shinedown tatt and have the guys sign around it and then have them sign it.

Cool tattoos everyone!
After reading this thread and how Shinedown/music has gotten a lot of you through rough times, I thought this was appropriate.
My friend got this in a fortune cookie:
The universe without music would be madness.
Aint that the truth!
Music is my life...

Re: True caring
I had gotten all their signatures on my back in Dec. of 2006. I went and got them tattooed, well now with new members I needed new tats. I went and saw them on the 11th of June and had the newbies sign my back . I also had Brent write some lyrics on my back through a fence. I was amazed that they remembered me, ( I had told them that my son was mad because I wouldn't let him go see them back in 06 )how he cried when we gave him an signed ticket sub that said "happy birthday" and a pic with the band the next day for his birthday,Barry said that if they play where he can go (he is only 8) he wants to meet him. I think that kicks ass to really care that much. Any way I went and got the new stuff tattooed and I can't wait to see them again so I can show them the new tats.
That is such an awesome story! Thanks for sharing :)

I know how you kids feel about no being able to see Shinedown live.
Sadly America is just a little to far and expensive for a 16 year old without a job. haha.
One day maybe, just maybe i can find a way to see them live.
Tatto's of their signature...that is so cool.
