Silvertide

I figured this might be a topic people love or hate. For the Shinedown fans that have been around longer should know this band. Or even if you know some history on Nick Perri.

But anyways I was wondering if there were any Silvertide fans on the board and if you have heard the new music. I'll admit I'm a huge fan.

I was a HUGE fan of Silvertide...saw them like 3 times opening for different bands! HAHA

Talk about an awesome live show...lots of energy, great songs.

When I found out Nick was joining Shinedown I had no worries.

I have not heard the new songs yet...it's on my to do list.

Check it out. It's on their myspace. It sounds good. Walt has some solo demos that are a little slower but I still enjoy them.

So what is Silvertide planning? They still have Nick Perri listed as a member... are they getting a new guitarist or is Nick Perri going back to them?

Apparently they have someone else filling in. It's still all the same just minus Nick. I don't know who the guy is but I'll do some investigation.

Silvertide currently plays with all original members minus Nick, of course. Rob Bennett of a Philadelphia local band called Pepper's Ghost fills in guitars for the gigs that do exist.

Walt Lafty (Lead of Silvertide) is doing his own thing currently and you can check that out at waltlafty.com or on . Definately worth it.

Brian Weaver (Bass of Silvertide) is currently playing for New Jersey based band DIVE. :) Check them out on myspace @ www.myspace.com/dive. If you are in the Philadelphia/New Jersey/New York area, you can see them live often. This band WILL take off...

saw them open for i believe velvet revolver but it could have been audioslave. either way they played an entertaining set and were really energetic on stage and sounded pretty decent. in some ways i was disappointed the guitarist left for SD but happy i guess that SD got someone who seems to be more than capable on guitar so it worked out
