Rock on,
The Shinedown.com WebCrew
I really gotta tell you... I was at your show in NJ at the PNC Art Center and you guys are absolutely awesome. You conduct a very clean show with absolutely awesome music. I had seen you when you opened up for Nickelback in Atlantic City and was extremely impressed. I was so impressed that I started listening to all of your music and not just what I heard on the radio. You have quickly risen to my families favorite band. In addition, I felt so comfortable that I wasn't going to hear a lot of profanity or anything that I brought my 3, 7, and 8 year old with me (fully equipped with sound protection of course). I have to tell you, they absolutely loved it. They've been singing your songs ever since and want to know when we can see you again. I told them you were playing in Kentucky and they are all set to go. Unfortunately, it's a bit too far. LOL. Anyway, keep up the awesome work. And we all look forward to seeing you again soon. Thanks again.
My comment isn't related to the website but to the show. I'm sorry to tell you that the sound crew is throwing the band under the bus. I went to see Shinedown last night (08.09) in Cleveland, Ohio. The first bands were great, but when Shinedown came on, the sound was turned up to ear-splitting decibles, which is fine, I've been doing this for awhile, but there was also a shrill, high-pitched feedback that came out with every riff and vocal. Brent was practically unintelligible, and it was extremely painful. I talked to several workers, who all agreed, but said there was nothing that they could do. As I stated, it was incredibly painful, and I left after 5 songs. People were streaming out of the venue, and the remaining crowd was visibly braced against the onslaught. I've never experienced anything like it; all I could think of is when whales beach themselves after naval sonar testing. It was really jacked up.
was at the show at DTE on Aug.7/10....wow, wow, wow......this is the 5th time of seeing you guys, and everytime has been totally terrific....your music is very inspiring, and always a pleasure to listen to. Keep up the good work, I have been a fan since 2003 when I first saw you in Detroit Michigan at the old State Theatre with 3 Doors Down. I am probably one of your oldest fans, (59) but I'll rock with you guys forever...Take care and God bless
I don't know much about your band's background yet, but I have all your albums and graced your concerts twice. I have come to this conclusion, what a masterpiece. From vocals to musicians. Front man take a bow, one of the best in the biz.
It seems to me that Shinedown is a band that continuously writes their own music, listen to the lyrics, poetic. Remember '45', first album, yes, the third album still sounds like Shinedown, lyrics, music and all. First and third album definitely the best second very good. Brent, I don't know your history in music or theater, but you are a triple threat. Strong clear meaningful vocals, presence,Shakespearian, very captivating and a good sport (attitude). Musicians are like a phil harmonic orchestra with attitude. Nice.
Here's is an incident that I witnessed at one of their shows at the New Oasis in Reno, NV. I was standing in the upper deck where I could see the band from the side. Yeah, I know not the best view. I liked it. Very quaint place. I could see them entering onto the stage. There was a ramp off the side of the stage and behind the curtain. All band members whrere on stage and at some point in the concert a woman from the back made her presence, maybe a crew, manager something like that. All of a sudden she slips on the ramp and Brent was right there and caught her. I thought she was going down. My eyes popped wide open and I remember saying to myself, NICE CATCH. He asked if she was ok, yeah I was that close and not even part of the band. He re-entered front stage with a smile greeting his fans. First impression was a respectable one in my falable eyes.
Let me tell you how I really feel. Shinedown can write there own story that's how talented they are.
I must say that I was upset, not really but I really wanted to hear "A Simple Man" at one of their shows, but knowing a little about the biz, I can understand why it was not on the list. But Oh my God!
And that is it!
Jill Dove
The band never comments back on what ppl write to them!!!!!!!! I wrote something to Brent and it is very important that he reads it!
I have been getting points on Share Shinedown for the Facebook and twitter links i have posted but It is being sent to my myspace also but I have not received any points since I started this 2 days ago for the Myspace links that I post. I am connected and it shows as connected and on my myspace all of the links I have sent are on my myspace profile. Please research this and credit me my points if you can for the past 2 days. Thanks!
SHINEDOWN has developed a new style web site that allows the fans easy access. The past attempts by other bands has made it a walk through the dark to get to the basic conversatoins or even to find a way to listen to the feature songs. The time spent by the production team has treated the fan to a simple way to find any and all the pertinate information and bios. When we go to a bands' site it should be a pleasure cruse to the information the band wants you to have. Not a single moment should be spent going back to some other page to find out where we are going next.
Dude, Denver!
The website is incredible. As a fellow musician, I can really respect the work and detail that's been put into it. I hope to have a website as impressive as yours some day soon guys. Well done.
I dont know where I should post this but I got an idea for the new Shinedown Share.. It could be fun to have Trivia about Shinedown and that would be another way to gets Point.
Thanks for reading.

Brent and crew...took my kids to OXXFest (not that they needed me, there 17 and 19) but honestly went to see Deadseason, our local band, Chevelle and Sevendust. My son lost his phone and was pissed as your set was starting, but I told him just enjoy the rest of the concert. I have to say, I was so completely moved by your guys performance. I haven't been that moved by someone's voice at a concert i a long, long time!!! I do believe you are, at this point, my favorite live band to date...and that's saying a lot, as I am 46 years young!!!! Thanks for a commanding presence and a moving, great show. Everyone at the Carnival was great, but....wow!!!
Thanks again

But Bert was going to the concert, but he got locked up before time for the show, he has been looking forward to taking Andrew to see Shinedown because Andrew would tell you what to listen to,and sing the whole time. Awesome show in Raleigh, NC last night!!! Really love the all the new stuff, but I especially loved hearing stuff from the first album..Thank You!! It's good to know you guys haven't let the success of your last album replace what struck your long time fans from the beginning. But I do have to tell you, Second Chance brought tears to my eyes last night...Great event and no Rock n Roll will ALWAYS be alive!!! Ciao!!!
