Favorite Song Off The New Album

Congratulations Brent on being a new dad, and I am glad you can smile again. You are the best.

Did anyone else have this? When I got the cd, it had "if only you knew", when it's "if you only knew"?

OMFG, I cannot believe how much I love this cd...best ever...Shinedown, you've made my year! I love this more and more the longer I listen to it. (and that is everyday!)

I think the fact that no one can pick their favorite song off the cd is a sign of how great it is. How many cd's do you list 4 songs when someone asks you wich one you like best :P SD ROX

Call Me is quite handily my favorite (I've always been a slightly bigger fan of the slower songs: Shed Some Light, Burning Bright, Beyond the Sun (Side note: There seems to be another theme! haha))

So, anyway, I also love Second Chance, its # 2. And rounding up the top are Sound of Madness and Cry for Help - but, Cry for Help is really only there for one little lyrical incidence.

But... I love the whole thing. *shrug* Well, except one, which I won't mention because I don't feel like be even slightly negative at the moment. :)

My favorite is The Crow & the Butterfly. I immediately interpreted the song as a tale of lost youth and innocence, and of lost friends.

The next one would have to be Cry for Help, it gets bonus points for the Aerosmith reference.

I Own You is the best bonus track, for some reason it reminds me of Metal Gear Solid.

The Sound of Madness, Call Me, If you only Knew, and on and on and on. Again, another amazing CD. They have got to have the best sound ever!

I love this entire album but my favorites are What a Shame, Sound of Madness, Sin with a Grin, and Breaking Inside. But my FAVORITE is Call Me.

I'm kind of surprised everyone is saying the same song, "Sound of Madness" It's good, no doubt, but how about "Son of Sam" or "Cyanide"? I think the 3 bonus tracks on the cd rip. Good thing for them!

I've tried to put the whole album in my order from my most favorite to least favorite. Don't think I dislike the songs at the bottom though. I still like them better than everything else on the the rock scene that I have heard since the last Shinedown album.

Sound of Madness is my favorite! The whole album is awesome but the SOM is my fave!

Guess I am part of a minority, but Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide is one of those songs you have to blast after that I cant start listing cause obviously there are so many great tracks.

Favourite songs would be a tie between three:

Sound of Madness, Son Of Sam and Cyanide Sweet Tooth

What a Shame.

But now I know for sure my absolute favorite is Call Me.
I love it so much.

I absoutly love the new album as do i there 1st two, But i would have to say Sin with a Grin, and Call me have hit really close to home. They have brought back alot of things that i have gone through in my life that i havent thought about in years.... So those two songs are my favorites off of The Sound of Maddness./ Thank you so mych Shinedown for making kick ass music once again!

I love this whole CD, but after listening for a few hundred times..The first 2 bonus tracks are my Favs...I own you and The Energy..

my favorite would have to be "cry for help" , i love the chorus intro "count off 1..2....1...2...3...your gonna pray" rock and friggen roll!!

i think im the first one to say this but i really like the song "I OWN YOU"...its the first of the three bonus tracks..but i realy like the whole cd.inside and out its great

It's really hard fpr me to pic a favorite. Honestly! I could listen to the whole album over and over and it would still be just as good as hearing it for teh first time. BUt enough rambling. For teh sake of this topic. I'll go with "What A Shame" or "I Own You" or "Sound Of Madness" I swear SOM is porn for the ears! And you can quote me on that! ;)

"Call Me" gives me goosebumps! But I just had a friend move away and "Second Chance" hits me hard, I also love the first two bonus tracks and "The Sound of Madness", "what a Shame" is pretty intense too.

i had been really pumped (almost to the annoyance of others lol) for this cd for bout three months and the sunday and monday before this came up i found myself wakin up at 4:03 in the mornin...which at first i dismissed cause i get up at 3:30 for work so i thought nothin of it until i heard if you only knew and then i was blown away...those lyrics just describe exactly what i had been goin through

FAV TUNE IS THE ENERGY.............. FUCKING KICK ASS

i dont just have one, i have many.
But 2 of the ones i like alot are, Sound of Madness and what a Shame

devour and sound of madness... are just great songs and i love every song of shinedown because each has their own special meaning and tells it's own story. devour is like the door to the album and then sound of madness just shows how much they kick ass. Then you get to the album... right now im liking i own you the energy and son of sam... but you cant really choose your favorite unless you arent really a shinedown fan!

I must say that Sound of Madness is one of my favorites but yes, there are way too many too list at this time. My ears are bleeding from listening over and over again trying to decide which ones are the best!! This CD is awesome!

100% dead on all the songs have great lyrics but Sound of Madness has the lyrics the music and it just has that "Tude" that puts it over the top!!!
