Rockin' Holiday Leftovers
Recipe By: Barry Kerch / Shinedown
Serving Size: 2

Ingredients:

2 cups Leftover Stuffing
1 cup Leftover Turkey, Rough Chopped in large pieces
1/2 cup Sharp Cheddar, Grated
(null) to taste Cajun Seasoning
1 pat Butter

Directions:

I don't know about you, but after spending all day in the kitchen during the holidays, the last thing I want to do the day after is spend it creating a great meal. You've got family running around, your Egg Nog hangover is kicking in, and the dog got in the trash can over night. You can't give him enough Pepto for that one. Luckily, this recipe is easy, tastes great, is super quick, and you probably have all the ingredients in your kitchen from the day before.
Here is what you do. Take the stuffing out of the fridge and put it in a mixing bowl. Roughly chop up some leftover turkey (about a cup) and add it to the bowl with the stuffing. Sprinkle some cajun
seasoning in the bowl to taste and mix it all together gently. You don't want to mix it too much cause you will break down the stuffing even more. Be careful, you can always add more seasoning, but you don't want to over salt the dish. I make my own cajun seasoning, but any of the prepared ones will work just fine. Heat a pan over medium heat, melt a pat of butter in the pan, and then add the stuffing mixture. Heat it all through and stir occasionally. If you don't it will stick. I like to get some nicely browned pieces of stuffing in there, but it is up to you. Once it is hot, transfer to a bowl, sprinkle with the grated cheese, and go hang out on the couch with a cold beer, you earned it. Enjoy!

P.S. If you not as worn out from the day before as I am you can always take this recipe to the next level by chopping up some bell peppers, a jalapeno, and some onion. Saute them first and then add
the stuffing mixture. It makes for one hell of a breakfast. Have fun with it and make it your own. Beer is optional.....

Much Love,
Barry

I absolutely love the way that you play the drums, it gives me chills up and down my spine when I hear it in "stranger inside" and "second chance". You have made me want to learn the drums so bad that I can't stand it...lol I just wanted to let you know that you are the best drummer that I have heard so far! Keep it up because you rock!

Submitted By: Judy (Tbone's girl)\n\nYou guys were so kind and real and great to do business with here in South Florida. I think the video will be so great and I hope your experience in our neck of the woods (the Sarasota/Bradenton/Anna Maria area) was as stress free as possible and you got to get in some real R and R on our beautiful beaches. Looking forward to seeing you all in Fort Myers or Tampa for your show the next few days. Best to you all and, again, thank you for dropping in and paying some nice people for a nice couple of days while filming your current video. I wasn't on the payroll, but my guy was, and you made all made it quite enjoyable. Hope to see you here again soon. We'll keep the fish fresh and beers cold! Happy trails... Judy

Submitted By: Missy\n\nGreat recipe! Yes I'm sure a nice cold beer would go great with this - I mean there isn't much that does NOT go with a cold beer, right?! 'Cept maybe Cap'n Crunch but hey maybe that's just me. Anyway I think one step further I'd take this is to the ingredients into a pattie but add the extras you mentioned plus mushrooms - gotta have a "fun-guy" in there at all times, right?! (rolling with laughter, wiping tears from her eyes) Ok ok it's been a long work day. Great recipe, Barry, and Raquel & I will be seeing you guys at the HOB in The Windy City on the 17th. Bring your parkas!

Submitted By: Gary Sharkey\n\nYo man I remember you guys from about 5 years ago at X-fest in Huntington, West Virginia. You did a cover of Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd and it was outstanding. After the song you hung out with me a few of my friends for a little while, you probably don't remember but it was a smoking good time. I've been trying to find your version on the internet but it doesn't seem to be anywhere were you not allowed to do it anymore? I can't even find any videos on youtube. I've been wanting to hear it really bad, so if you have any pointer where I can find it, if there is a recorded version of it, it would be much appreciated.

Submitted By: JScott\n\nJust got home from witnessing your mayhem in the Leon County Civic Center in Tallahassee! I apologize for the acoustics in the place, but you guys completely rocked the house. How you are opening for AX7 and Buckcherry is beyond me... Keep up the awesome work, folks around me were clamoring about how they came to see Shinedown, as did I... Hope to see you guys again!!!

Submitted By: Mersadies\n\nAhh, I'm gonna have to try that! I'll skip any kind of cajun though, not much of a spicy person. You guys were amazing in LaCrosse (and Marshfield, but that was a while ago) and I absolutely can't wait to see you guys again. You're awesome!
