Love it, Claire!!

24) You manage to add Shinedown's music to your preschool lesson plans. (It's the Acoustic Live show, so I know there's no bad words. :D )

25) EVEY craft you do with your preschool class always ends up with a Shinedoen logo on it.

26) You program your phone to go off at 4:03am.... and pm... just so you can smile.

27) Your last tattoo was Shinedown related.

28) Your next planned tattoo will be Shinedown related... and the next... and the next... and the next...

29) you program your Twitter to deliver Shinedown messages to your phone as texts so you know you'll smile at least once or twice every day.

30) All of your ringtones are Shinedown.

31) Almost all of your friends on Twitter or FB are fellow Shinedown fanatics.

32) You see Nike shoes and think of Zack.

33) You see dreads, skulls, or voodoo dolls and think of Barry. :D

34) You see cheese and think of Eric. (It's a Tampa A&E thing! LOL)

Ok, I think that's all I can think of... for now. LOL

lol too funny clairguitar. I"m going on a road trip this weekend to a Conference with all of my high up bosses. Most of them have never seen all of my tattoos. Wait till they hear the stories behind them lol. All of my tattoos are Sd related.
One is the Sd logo
Another is the album cover for SOM
Last one is the quote that Brent says about life "The will to live will always outweight the ability to die".

Haha should be fun we have a 3.5 hour drive sounds like they will hear lots of stories about Shinedown.

haha thanks rita. the trip went well. Throughout the conference all of my bosses saw my tattoos. It felt weird since I always have them covered at work even when i wear polos i cover my Sd logo tattoo since I work in higher education we're not supposed to show our tattoos. I successfully converted one of my bosses into a Sd fan. She heard me telling the story of how I got my Crows tattoo and then why I have Brents' quote tattooed on my arm and she felt my dedication to the band. She is huge Skynyrd fan so when she found out Sd does a cover of Simple Man it was all over lol. She is a fan now. Hahahah

Way to go Tony!!! You're a true ambassador for the band :D

haha thanks Rita, we all do the best we can to recruit new fans for SD. My boss was saying that next time Shinedown came to Texas to let her know because she would for sure go with her husband haha.

I try too, i might have converted a colleague. She did listen and liked them. :)

Hahaha well none of my friends are into Rockmusic, so there's very little chance i could convert them into Shinedown fans, but i do tell customers about them when they're wearing rockband shirts :)

Don;t know the girl from Glee, cause i never watched that, but she can't be better than Brent!!!!

My friends think it weird that i love some rockbands so much.
I guess i should listen to Rihanna or Celine Dion or something at my age, but i rather cut my ears off LOL

I've got a friend, whom i met through the 3 Doors Down message boards, i'm usually going with her and her little brother and sometimes her mum, who is my age, but i don't mind going alone.
All my other friends (including my husband) think the music i listen to is noise.

Well I can't blame them much, I don't listen to much other music then rock. I'm Not into HipHop or R&B or Jazz or anything. I do like blues though

Yeah i guess you're right! I do listen to other music when asked to, but there's some music i just can't stand

Okay girl gotta get some work done. was nice "talking" to you :D
Have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!

LOL it's almost 2.00 pm over here :D

Ooowwww, that is early!!

How come i don't know about this interview, where can i listen to it?

I might be able to catch that, but i really gotta go now. Bye bye sleep well :)

I work 3rd shift cleaning a resort hotel, the only thing that keeps me from going insane from having NO ONE to talk to is listening to Shinedown. I don't just listen either, when I'm cleaning the lobby or the restrooms, or sitting int he office, I'm singing along with them haha! People will come in in the morning and I'll be in the office rocking out. My boss finds it hilarious.

aaah that's great! Hope they go back to australia soon.

That's too bad, that you're out of the country when they come. Maybe they change their plans :) You never know

You know you're a Shinedown fan, when you instantly like everyone with the name Brent. :D

34) You see cheese and think of Eric. (It's a Tampa A&E thing! LOL)

Ok, I think that's all I can think of... for now. LOL

20) You wake up smiling on a MONDAY... JUSt b/c it's Brent's Birthday!

21) You program your phone alarm so you won't miss the Q&As or chats.

22) You program your phone alarm so you can be online at EXACTLY the moment the new poster goes on sale.

23) You buy butterfly Valentines for your studenst, just b/c you thought of Shinedown when you saw them. (Yes.... I need help! LMAO)
you know you're a Shinedown fan when: before you get your aneastatics for surgery you're thinking of Z playing guitar on stage and go to sleep and wake up smiling. That's what the nurse told me
That's GREAT! I love it!! If I had to go into surgery, I would beg & plead to have my music with me!

you know you're a Shinedown fan when: before you get your aneastatics for surgery you're thinking of Z playing guitar on stage and go to sleep and wake up smiling. That's what the nurse told me

13) If you have ALL THREE VERSIONS of SOM- the original version (white cover), the Limited Fan Club Edition, and the Deluxe Edition, AND they are ALL loaded onto your MP3 player or iPod.

14) You get funny looks only to realize you are singing a Shinedown song- out loud.... in the grocery store.

15) You watch the live videos dreaming of the next concert.

16) You drool over Barry's..... drumsticks! :P (I am TOO short to catch them at a show, darnit! LOL)

17) You surf eBay for Shinedown stuff, and wonder WHY people would actually SELL their Shinedown autographs.

18) You can't WAIT to get your tax $$ back so you can start on your next Shinedown tattoo!

19) As you listen to Shinedown's music, you listen carefully for ideas of things to add to your next Shinedown tattoo. (The way I have mine planned so far, it might end up being a half sleeve! LOL)

when all of your art class projects connect in some way with a Shinedown song :P

1) You fall asleep with a Shinedown song in your head.

2) You wake up with a Shindown song in your head.

3) You can barely go ANY length of time withour listening to Shinedown.

4) Your phone AND computer wallaper are pics of Shinedown.

5) Your profile photos are of Shinedown or of yourself in a SN shirt.

6) You take your 'puter to work JUST so you can log onto the SN board and see what everyone is talking about or if there are any new topics.

7) The strangest things remind you of Shinedown, such as flying crows, butterflies, or dandelions, the name "Haley", etc.

8) You snicker any time you think of a word, or someone says a word that can possibly be associated with a Shinedown song, such as "atmosphere", "stratosphere", etc.

9) You mention Shinedown's music to anyone who will listen.

10) You want to get (more) tattoos- and ALL of them are going to be Shinedown associated.

11) Shinedown and their music have totally and completely replaced any other group in your mind.

12) You spend your day of reading old posts on the SN board to see if there is anything fun you might have missed!

And if I think of anymore... I'll post again!

^^ That is exactly what I did to my dad. Now, he listens to them all the time. He is so hooked that he starts to think that I look like I could be Brent's daughter :P

You know your a shinedown fan when your top 65 songs are all shinedown :D

I got my nephew into shinedown. He listens to his iPod on all songs shuffled and I loaded some shinedown on there and he has been hooked since. What a great way to get someone to listen to shinedown :)
You know your a Shinedown fan when . . .

- i wake up during the night and have one of their song in my head

- i wake up every morning and have one of their song in my head

- i cannot pass a single day without listening to one of their songs

- i still have tears in my eyes when I listen to Simple man

- i want to convert all my friends and family in France to them

- my best friend is stuck in the car with me while I sing Second Chance out loud and do a poor job at it.

- you drive 1000 miles through one province and 3 states to go see them at a concert in Mansfield Mass.

- and finally when a day come and Nickelback which was my favorite group falls in second place to them. Ironically I discovered Shinedown as the first part at a Nickelback concert. (sorry Chad)

Paula
Just have to say that I also drove quite a long ways from the far side of New Brunswick to go and see the Carnival of Madness in Mansfield Mass. GREATEST ROAD TRIP EVER!!! all we did was listen to shinedown all the way down :D

you know you are a shinedown fan when you get your 9 year old brother, 13 year old sister, 46 year old parents, and 50 year old aunt addicted to Shinedown after spending hours with you in a car where you only sing Shinedown songs, in rounds occassionally, and only talk about Shinedown.

I sing Shinedown songs at random times and my friends think i'm nuts

Boy Junkie...you never cease to amaze me!!! You speak French too? Wow! How romantic you are!! I bet your wife loves it...just like Peppy LaPugh!! I am a Yankee and I say "y'all"!! It's a good term! :D

Lorilee the only Canadian thing you need to know for your road trip is Eh. Is that how you spell it? It looks funny. You can't type it with that accent.
r u canadian?
Nope. I'm a good ole Southern gal. That means I not only say y'all a lot but it also means that I'm one of the few around here without any accent at all.

yeah that's what i was going to say try adding eh or ay at the end of a phrase that should suffice for somewhat canadian.
Aww, you know he's going to be proud of you as he looks down on you walking across the stage!
haha! very funny! :)

Thanks sweety, it would be so cool!

That would really make it for me!! To have you and Karen both!! How cool would that be!!?? I have my fingers crossed!! :D

It would be so awesome to meet you all.
Tomorrow's the lottery again, keep your fingers crossed. I need to win it, i wanna go on that cruise and party with you all. :D

Oh Siouxi!!! Don't say that! Anything can happen! Who would have thought that we would meet anyway and look~ here we are! I love you to pieces as well and Tony too! I fully hope to all meet up one day at a Shinedown show and have a real party together!!! We have such a good thing going here!! I'm proud to be a part of it too! :D

Yeah Tony your father has to be so proud of the awesome many you have become!

I think this is a great environment! It is great to get away from all the negativity that is so prevalent everywhere else. You wouldn't expect anything less for a Shinedown forum anyway, especially as positive as their shows are. I'm a part of other message boards that have way too much negativity. Heck I don't even go to some anymore because of all of the negative crap. You post something and 10 people jump down your throat for it. Who needs that?

This place is what it is all about! Shinedown has the BEST fans! I feel honored that you all have accepted me and have let me into your world.

OMG, y'all make me so proud to be part of this comunity.

I agree with you Lori, if people think we're too lovey, well let them think so, there's too much hate in the world.
I love you all to pieces, even though i've never met and probably won't ever meet you guys in person. Allthough i do hope to meet y'all one day.

uh it has been my experience that whoever critics and calls out names like "too lovey" is usually just hatin cuz they ain't gettin no love lol. and someone once told me if people are hatin on you just smile cuz that means you doing something right that they can't do haha so take that haters. yeah you are like a mom to me at times and I appreciate it. my mom would never go to a rock show with me so to rock out with you at a show would be awesome. one day LL we'll have our show.

Me too Junkie(hugs) It makes me even more proud that you call me "Mom" some times! I will always be here for you just like you are always here for me. I know that your Father is VERY proud of the strong yet sensitive man you have become. You are always so caring and true to yourself. That take courage and character. You are the best!
I have recently learned that some people feel we are too "lovey" here...I say to heck with them! It's a big lonely world out there, any time you can bond with people and give love and receive it in return...it's a good thing to quote Martha Stewart! We are all happy here and that's all that matters, forget about the "Haters"!! Rock ON Shineys!!! :D

thanks karen, right back at ya. :)

thank you, i just want feel very at home here. little by little i'll continue to open up some more. but really that's the core of me. i'm very fond of my mother and father even though i never met him. my mother was both father and mother to me. for that i'll always be eternally greatful to her.

Tony, your story brought tears to my eyes.
Thanks very much for sharing it with us.

i've heard different versions of the story from both my mother and grandmother but the common link is that he went to mexico to try and get cured for some problems he was having with his stomach and he wasn't able to make it back home he died in mexico from his stomach illness. My grandmother has told me that he wanted to come back and see his son again but sadly he didn't make it back. But I have to believe that what I am doing with my life, makes him proud. Every day I do my best to be the man he would have wanted me to be. And on his birthday I have a beer for him and say a prayer for him. He may be gone from this earth but his spirit still lives on in my heart. When I'm at an Sd show i really feel like he comes with me. He's right there with me fist in the air rockin out to this great band.

Aww, you know he's going to be proud of you as he looks down on you walking across the stage!
it's very sweet way of honoring them. for me it was my father that passed away long before i had the honor of knowing him. i will also be thinking of him and i know he'll be smiling down on me with his fist in the air, tellin me to follow my dreams.
may i ask how did ur dad die? it's ok if u don't want to tell me,tony just curious! i love to read peoples stories :)
that's a great story about your wedding bands and i'm sure your grandparents are very honored by your gesture. speaking of siblings my sister and i used to be very tight growing up but once she started going out with her then boyfriend now her husband/my brother in law lol things changed and we were not as close any more. ever since then the bond is still there but nowhere near the level it once was. we went from being able to finish each others sentences to not even knowing what we were talking about at times. but since then things have changed and my sister is one of my biggest fans. i know she's happy for me and the little success i have achieved. we still don't talk nearly as much as we used to but i know that we'll always be in touch and that no matter what i'll always love my sister and she will also love me. she wasn't able to graduate from college so this next may when I graduate i'm keeping her in mind as I walk across that stage to receive my degree.
That is sweet of you to think of your sister when you graduate. Sorry you two went through those times but it does really bring you back closer than you were.

Sadly my grandparents passed away far too long ago. But this way I can always keep them near me.
u don't have issues! i actually admire u alot! i love reading wht u have to say! i totally agree with u about finding yourself and not knowing if everyone supports u! its so true! i hope me and my sister will get closer she is 17. and i want to know all about ur vacation! :) lol
Hopefully as you get older you 2 will get closer. Thank you, that was nice to say.

Oh I'm sure I'll have plenty to say about it. I LOVE my Disney trips. Hehe.

tht makes me really happy to know tht u r close to ur sister. i admire anybody tht is close to their sibling cause i'm really not. did u and ur sister not get along when u guys were young? is she older?
She is 7 years older than me. Things were odd for us growing up because we moved around a lot and had a lot of family issues. By the time I was 11 or 12 she had moved in with our aunt, then she went into the Army. After she got home from the Army we got to spend a lot more time together and really bonded. Maybe over the years you guys will get closer. When I was your age I didn't think I'd ever been close to anyone. I was emotionally shut off from everyone. But I had issues so maybe I'm not the best example. But those are rough years anyway, especially when you are trying to find yourself and you don't know if everyone supports you.

I'm so very thankful that we are so close now. We are actually going on vacation together the first week of January. This will be the first time her sons have been to Disney with me. She took them in Dec. 2006 for a few days right after their adoption was final. But they didn't stay too long. And they didn't get to do a whole lot. She isn't a "Disney freak" like I am.
Thank you. There are 3 stars, but they are on my wedding band. I don't have pictures of it loaded. We both have 3 stars on our wedding bands. Our bands are made from silver instead of white gold like my engagement ring.

We did that in honor of my grandparents (my dad's parents). When they got married they were too poor to buy wedding bands so a friend made them bands. He made each one of them a band out of a nickle. He pounded the middle until there was a hole in it then kept pounding it until it made a ring. Well my fingers are too fat for that. We got a Canadian coin with a Maple leaf on it and had it melted down to make both of our bands. My grandparents were VERY important to me. They were the only people who always made me feel loved no matter what. I knew my sister loved me but you know how siblings always have issues. There was something so special about these grandparents. It was important to me to have these rings to honor them and to have them with us at all times in some small way.
Thanks. Yep, that's when we got married.

I don't even have a traditional engagement ring. Several months after we started dating but far enough into it that we knew we were in this for the long haul I had a dream about him giving me a ring. I told him about the dream and the ring. He remembered the details of the ring and had my engagement ring designed after that ring.

Ever since I was a little girl I've loved the stars. I used to be able to name many of them but not anymore. I just don't study them anymore. But I also love the star shape. Anyway, in the dream he gave me a ring that had a blue stone with a crescent moon around it with a star dangling from the tip of the moon. There was a wave in there somewhere. In my dream the moon was sticking up off the ring so it wasn't practical because it would get stuck on stuff and broken. In the dream he told me how they all tied together and stood for how deep his love was for me and stuff like that.

We took some dates to a gem mine and found some sapphires among other stones. I didn't know that he took the best sapphire and put it aside to be cut for my ring. I have a sapphire set in white cold with a yellow gold crescent moon around one side and a wave going over that.

I can post a picture if you want to see it.
omg the ring sounds gorgeous! i like people tht r different so the idea for the ring is awesome! i would love to see a pic of it! thanks!

It is frustrating! I've been voting too but then my computer froze up. UGH!

We have been married 1 year and almost 4 months. :)

Random is awesome!!!
well then i'm ur girl! i am the randomist person ever!! :) i hate when my laptop freezes! wow 1 year and 4 months? anniversery coming up?
If you ask any of my friends to describe me in one word they will all tell you random.

We got married in July. But we didn't have our reception until November. So we didn't have our Wedding Cake until our reception. We'll be having the top tier on our reception "anniversary" on the 15th of this month. That's how come I remember it so easy. But Larry can always tell you just how long we've been married and how long we've been together. We got married on the 2nd anniversary of our first date.

Since I'm different and very non-traditional we did our wedding a little different. We did get married in a church but it was a very small group of people with us. I didn't come out to the usual Here Comes The Bride music. Our first date was the Pirates 2 movie so I came out to the main song from the movie.

Then we took our Honeymoon in December. See, we don't do anything "normal."
haha thts funny! wow i think thts a cool wedding! breaking out of the box,i like tht! :) so u got married on july of 2008?

I posted this in another thread but my husband voted 1,100 times in an hour this afternoon! Wow! I'm so proud of him! He's pissed though that they are still behind. He wants to get up at 5 in the morning to get more voting in besides what we can do tonight. Any time I get up from the computer he wants on to vote more.

awwww! tht is so sweet! i hope tht happens to me one day! i do have a boyfriend but i'm so young, how do ya even know he's the one! haha! i am glad u took tht chance cause ur husband sounds like a great guy! :)
Thanks. You just know. After you spend some time with them you get a feeling deep inside that is indescribable. It isn't just that new boyfriend feeling but something much, much deeper. You know that if they were taken from you that your entire would would be torn apart and the breath would be sucked from your lungs.

I don't know what your beliefs are but I do believe that we have more than one turn on this earth. That being said I also truly believe that Larry & I have been together more than once. I don't know how it all works but I think we plan our lives together.

Have you ever seen the movie "What Dreams May Come"? The ending of that sort of explains what I'm trying to describe. I love that movie. I used to sob from the moment that movie started because I wanted someone to love me like that. The first time I saw that movie I was with my boss and she made fun of me for months. This was when I was still with the jackass. She didn't understand. But I wanted a man who loved me that much. That was what I had longed for my whole life. Now when I watch it I still cry some but not as much. Now they are tears of joy, not sadness.

Sorry to go on so much. I don't mean to. I just share my story because I want to give others hope. Even when you are in the worst of situations don't give up because you really can find happiness in life. I know I have a weird way of telling my story but that is what I want people to know. I want people to see that I am happy now and know that I wasn't for so long. But before you can be happy with someone else you have to be happy with YOU. You can't be happy with someone else or make them happy until you are whole and happy. You have to take care of you first!
awwww! thanks for all tht good advice! i never hear tht from my parents so it's really good to hear! i have never seem tht movie but i am gonna go rent it! i gotta see it! and i love reading ur stories i dont think u go on too much! :) i hope i find someone as much as ur husband loves u cause it seems like he really loves u and thts awesome. u dont see tht alot these days! haha!
Yep. We actually met online sort of randomly. He read something I wrote and responded to me about it. He agreed with some of my ramblings. From his first message he was interested in me. But to me he seemed odd and he was too young for me. BUT there was just something about him that caught my attention. I just kept reading his message over and over and over. We talked by email for a while then for some reason I asked him if he wanted my number. That wasn't like me at all! We talked for hours and he asked me out for dinner & a movie.

Our first date was awkward, especially since we were both so shy and he's a little on the weird side. But he was a perfect gentleman. He held all of the doors open for me. At the end of the night he even asked if he could walk me to my car. :D Then he asked for a kiss. ::sigh:: Those lips turned me into mush!!! I know you aren't supposed to kiss on the first date but it had to happen! Two years later on the same day we got married. 8)

He's still weird by he's my weirdo now! I love him just the way he is and he loves me just the way I am. He takes wonderful care of me and I try to take good care of him. So I tell my single friends that you shouldn't dismiss a guy just because he isn't in the "package" you think you are looking for.
you know your a shinedown fan when you can't go one day without making a connection in any conversation you are having to something shinedown related. every day when i'm talking to friends i always make connections to shinedown songs or like lisa says someone will mention something and it reminds me of a lyric from a shinedown song and I go off singing it. People usually look at me like I'm nuts cuz I always talk about shinedown but I tell them that they are nuts for not knowing as much about shinedown as I do. Just a little FYI i too have woken up at 4:03 in the morning its kind of creepy but in a great way.
omg!! i have woke up at 4:03 before it was so funny!

did you colour yours perri??
ugh how bad is it to die your hair twice in a week?
i so wanted mine darker but it turned out like a light reddish brown.
gotta love underlying red in your hair.
oh i've done tht before! i've colored my hair so many times! u can never get rid of the red! whts ur color now?

i don't know i inherited it lol. my dad's hair was super dark black too lol. i've learned to love it.

I so wish i had natural black hair.
my hair is dirty blonde too with a lot of grey :D
But i dye it dark brown.

wow sounds cool. i have natural black hair lol. i always say it's dark brown and people laugh and tell me dude you have black hair.

I've heard people doing it twice in a week when they didn't like the result, but i don't know if it's very good for your hair or the skin on your head.
try it for 5 minutes if nothing happens you can leave it in a little longer i suppose.

 That's my girl :) You just get better first :D

I will be the crow since I just got the hair done and it is much darker!!!! LOL

Yeah, us "band moms" gotta stick together! Mollie - you and I will have to keep our spots on the rail at Ridgefield, okay? That way, we can actually go OUT to get a water for chrissakes! My son nearly went blind from dehydration last summer at Pain In The Grass - but wouldn't leave the rail!

When you hear your five year old sing Second Chance word for word while covering her cute little lips with lip gloss! She cracks me up...she totally didn't know i was listening!
Anything for you!

On atleast 2 of them I fell asleep on the table.
How long do you think the one I described will take?
Depends on the artist, where and how big you get it.
It's the detail not the colors that take the time.

She just turned 43 :)
Oh you will be fine...that's what my mum wants to do aswell :)

Most places won't tattoo you if you are Drunk. Too much blood.
You bleed more when you drink as it thins the blood and makes it hard for the artist to see what they are doing.

Look at it this way a tiny bit of pain for a lifetime of enjoyment.
Ah..Jaster..thanks for the info..didn't know that made a difference...

I have four each one took over 4 hours

Oh you will be fine...that's what my mum wants to do aswell :)
Ah see, a tattoo will be a doodle then :) Have you got any already?
No, I decided to do it since I turned forty.

So i have to find another one.
I want another one too, but im looking for someone who can draw one for me.
I want the words: Your pain is a gift entangled in it and i want it as an ankle band. but i can't draw and i'm so not creative.
I know..there's a great place here with fantastic artists...I'm gonna go in and see what their ideas are. I believe Jaster had his done there.

you know your a shinedown fan when you can't go one day without making a connection in any conversation you are having to something shinedown related. every day when i'm talking to friends i always make connections to shinedown songs or like lisa says someone will mention something and it reminds me of a lyric from a shinedown song and I go off singing it. People usually look at me like I'm nuts cuz I always talk about shinedown but I tell them that they are nuts for not knowing as much about shinedown as I do. Just a little FYI i too have woken up at 4:03 in the morning its kind of creepy but in a great way.

I have moments like that...someone will say a word and it'll be in a Shinedown song...so I'll start singing that song and people with think I'm nuts...OH WAIT...I AM!!!!! lol

I had someone txt me at 4:03 in the morning once and I kind of freaked out and then started singing the song...lol
