Submitted By: Ronda\n\nJust wanted to ask...how many people out there were able to catch Brent and Barry on 107.7 the Bone ... ( a Bay Area station )... before they played in S.F. later that night? ...Sorry , but without any outside help what so ever....Brent has a God given voice that sooner or later all you disbelievers will someday realize....a gift...I guess you could call it. Leno who? See them live and then get back to us. Just to let you guys know..(if you happen to read this)....Steven Seaweed said to me that it was one of the best interviews he's ever done ...He really digs your voice....the band's sound as a whole and we both agreed that you all seem pretty down to Earth and sincere...I know that I'm going to be a fan for life... drumstick girl from NorCal Oh...Yeah....by the way anyone caught Shinedown on MTV and the intro to Road Rules ? Have fun in Europe with Disturbed !!!!! Come back to the Bay Area as soon as you can! Stay True !!!

Submitted By: D2L\n\nWe get Jay's show a week later then broadcast here in the UK. I normally shut it off when the groups come on because they suck. Wow! Best new act I've heard in years guys. The modulation of the voices, the raw hard rock sound, lyrics very powerful. The whole package and I used to work in the biz. You brought some faith back that not every band just does covers of older songs. Well done lads!

Submitted By: Granny J\n\nI heard Shinedown for the first time on The Tonights Show just by chance and went right out and bought Leave A Whisper after I bought The Sound of Madness. I am 43 forever fan now! Brent's rendition of Simple Man was simply......unforgettable! I play guitar and they are an inspiration even for old ladies like me. Love you Shinedown!

Submitted By: Joseph\n\nI thought the performance was great...background a little "enhanced" is fine with me. These idiots that keep saying "sell-outs" are morons without jobs and still sport mullet hair-do's. I have seen them live 3 times with various acts and they always sound awesome! My only complaint is their needs to be a little less "chatting" with the crowd between songs at their concerts. Take a cue from Shawn Morgan or Aaron Lewis and just make quick comments at your shows and let your wonderful music, lyrics, and performance do the talking. Shinedown needs to do more stuff like Leno as they are primed to shoot to super stardom with this cross-over type album. Capitalize on it now!!! For crying out loud I am seeing Cory and Slip Knot all over MTV, etc...FULL COURT PRESS with this album guys! Keep it up and can't wait to see you in Sioux Falls in a week!

Submitted By: Jim\n\nWow... I am surprised anyone cares about the lipsynic talk. Did anyone hear Brent sing Simple Man on Rockline live years ago? If you did, you would understand how talented he really is... perfect. My family of 7 sure are fans! No other band can reach Mom, Dad and a 14 year old down to age 3. P.S. Brent... it would be great to post the Rockline stuff on your web site!

Submitted By: Tracy\n\nFor those of you who think Shinedown lip sang on leno needs to go see one of their shows cause I have been a fan since day one and have been to numerous shows and they sound great everytime. Brent your voice is exceptional! Thanks for once again an awesome performance last night in anaheim, its been a while. Thank you

Submitted By: Mel\n\nI know a lot of people are thinking that the performance on leno was lypsinched and I thought the same thing, since the sound was perfect. I don't really know though because if you go on youtube and look at 90% of the performances he doesn't vear off the original track too much. Even the two power notes at the end he seems to always hit (unlike some of the other songs of previous albums) Brent really does have that powerful of a voice, and I'm thinking maybe the audio was enhanced in some way but I'm doubting a full on lypsinch. It doesn't change how I feel about this band though either way... Shinedown is one of the best bands out there right now so you can't blame them for trying to give there best on this show. Keep rocking guys!

Submitted By: Boo\n\nDidn't catch you guys on Leno because I had tickets to see you perform at the House of Blues in Las Vegas that night. When i purchased my tickets in July, the show was scheduled for Friday, September 5th. My friend and I took the night off from work to see you play. We show up at the venue only to be told that the show was rescheduled for Sunday the 7th. Neither one of us could make that show. We've seen you play four shows here in Vegas and were really looking forward to seeing you again. Needless to say we were truly disappointed...

Submitted By: JimmyV\n\nI have some experience running live sound, and I know it is extremely difficult to get that kinda sound in a venue like that. You aren't going to have a lot of sound check time, and even if you do, its an engineer's nightmare to program for live and broadcast sound simultaneously. Contrary to what a lot of people think, a direct recording from the board at a live show is not going to sound that great. When I saw this performance, I was really impressed with the sound they were pulling off. Then when the chorus hit, it was tight as hell and spot-on, I knew this either must be a lip-sync or the engineer is a magician. They made the right decision. It was a huge chance for exposure and they had to put their best sound out there. I wouldn't lose any respect for them for it.

Submitted By: MCHolley\n\nShinedown, I know there had to be a good reason for the lip sync job on Leno - can youy clear the air and let us all know. It was my first exposeure to the group, love the song, but wanna know why I didn't get to hear what you sound like live. Thanks

Submitted By: Griff\n\nI'm with Jessica. Half the reason I loved you guys was because you seemed humble honest and real. Nothin' humble honest or real about lip sinking. Can you say SELL OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shinedown Fan_6's picture

Submitted By: Jessica\n\nSo the Leno lipsync job sold some albums and gained you new fans, great, fantastic, but was it really worth losing the respect of your already existing fans? Anyone wanna buy an autographed Shinedown CD? Don't want mine anymore :-<

Just as I expected ....another outstanding performance! Wishing you all best in the upcoming year...and please hurry on back to the Bay Area. Stay True ~ ronda

Submitted By: Lauren\n\nI've been a huge Shinedown fan for awhile now. I own all your CDs and I've seen you in concert three times so I was very excited about your upcoming Leno appearance. How disappointed was I when I turned on Leno last night to see Shinedown live and instead I got Memorex?! Why'd ya do it? I have to say I lost a lot of respect for you guys last night. Man, what a letdown!!!

Submitted By: Mike Ferguson\n\nI know this makes me the oddball--but I'd never heard of the band before the Leno show. First of all--it was hands down THE performance of the year; one of the best TV rock performances I ever seen. Vocals where state-of-the-art perfection. However, that achievement was JUST bested--I got the CD this morning and it's likewise an INSTANT classic in my vast collection. I've not even tracked the whole thing and it's lapping the field as the most exciting, most enjoyable album of the year. In a world where screamo is enjoying a success I will NEVER understand, Shinedown simply put, restored hard rock.

Submitted By: Marie\n\nHard to stay up late to see your performance, but it was so worth it. Can't wait to see you guys again soon, but your schedule has nothing even close to me in PA. New CD, I already wore it out, need to buy a new one. Your guys are awesome and that is because you can hear every word and feel how much your all are into it. ROCK ON!! GUYS
Shinedown Fan_6's picture

Submitted By: Ann\n\nWow- finally somebody with talent as a guest on leno. Your vocals are wonderfull. I'm listening to some other songs now and some of your music is a little on the heavy side for my taste but I still think you guys were great!!!! I don't know how long you have been around but this might be your big break when others hear how good you are.
